1st Round Begins in Augusta
The best golfers in the world have packed their bags and traveled to Georgia to play in golf’s finest tournament. The legend Bobby Jones created a golf course that was 2nd to none and his imprint on the golf course in Augusta, Georgia is one of the finest courses in the world. This event is now called the Masters and it’s the top place on the PGA tour. Each hole provides its on unique challenges, but for most holes it’s the distance between tee shot to the cup that makes this golf course so challenging. The best strokes that hit the golf ball flush are still well short of the greens on most of the holes in Augusta.
Today is first round action for the 2010 Masters Golf Tournament and the world’s top golfers are all present. Some of them have traveled many miles to take on this course and by Sunday we will know if they was able to handle all the difficult holes that Augusta presents for these pro golfers. Who ever wins this tournament has certainly earned it. A true golf champion will dawn the green jacket on Sunday. Lots of fans have traveled many miles too and they will be a big showing at the Masters in Augusta this weekend. A little rain is currently falling in Georgia today and may affect some tee times. The weather after today will be beautiful and hopefully the rain on Thursday doesn’t dampen the spirits of these top rated golfers.
