I am just now beginning to view these sites as useful tools and trying to find ways on how they can help me.

Twitter is one of the most talked about websites on TV these days. A huge group of people now make up the Twitter community. We often get to see stars using Twitter to make comments or suggest ideas to fans, other famous people, and some will even give political views from time to time. I have found some marketing techniques and strategies online that has worked well for me. I’m not in a hurry to change my routine, but understand that there are better ways to conduct business online. Instead of signing up for a broad marketing campaign at Twitter, I thought I might select one program and use it on my Twitter account. My business name online is “Online Promotions”, that’s the name I used to conduct business with advertisers and marketers who see help with their online advertising. I have made some money online, by helping others succeed in their online programs. I think it’s time I take a more direct approach to a specific program and see how far I could push 1 program instead of multiple online programs.

I love online marketing and I have made some great contacts and friends through my resources I use daily. A group or a team of people can get a lot more ground covered on the World Wide Web, if someone can lead them in one direction. People that want to succeed with making money online, should try to find a team or group of people that share the same ideas and goals online. Doing it by yourself is not going to create too many success stories. You stand a much better chance with making real money online, if you can find a team or group that you can join. Make sure you do your part to keep your online marketing group strong. Don’t rely on others to always lead you. Sometimes you have to become the leader and the newest member to a group can be a leader or the spark needed to get everyone as a whole moving forward.

I’m glad Facebook and Twitter offers tools to help online marketers. Advertising online is the way to do business in the 21st century. There is so many people that own computers these days and most of these people are connected to the Net. Learning how to attract these folks to your affiliate programs or websites is the trick to marketing on the computer.

Marketers should always be willing to adjust their daily routines to other avenues that present their self online. This is the stage I’m currently in right now. It won’t be easy for me to break off and go in a new direction, but I understand that more success could be achieved if I do use other methods to advertise online. If it’s broke don’t fix it? Are Police in Aruba real? Not sure what’s going on in Aruba and authorities still don’t get it down there. Natalee Holloway from Alabama went missing in Aruba in 2005. This May will mark the 5 year anniversary that Aruba Police has let her killer go. Perhaps Natalee did have a seizure and a lethal mix of drugs and alcohol. Isn’t Jordan van der Sloot the one who gave her the drugs? Isn’t he also the same one that declared her dead and decided to dispose of her body? He’s guilty! He’s admitted it! What more do you need?

The latest news making headlines today is another confession from Jordan van der Sloot. This will make the 3rd or 4th one he has given already. Some people think his latest confession could be fantasy and not the way things went down on Natalee’s last day on this planet. That could very well be true and he’s not telling the exact truth. What is truth is the fact that him and 2 of his friends were the last ones seen with Natalee Holloway. Jordan van der Sloot was there when Natalee expired on this planet and he did not do things an innocent person would do. His actions speak loudly and it’s clear he feels responsible for the death of Natalee Holloway. It doesn’t matter what the actual cause was, because he took away all hopes, that Natalee could have been revived, when he decided to dispose of her body.

As long as Jordan van der Sloot is a free man and Aruba is now just as guilty as him, by not convicting him for some form of punishment. The ban on Aruba is still in effect and no Americans should be visiting Aruba. No one on Earth should be visiting a place that allows murderers to walk free. Jordan van der Sloot is the killer of Natalee Holloway. It doesn’t matter if it was direct or indirect. He’s the guy that took away a 18 year old girl’s life back in May 2005. Everyone knows this and the picture couldn’t be more clearer than it is right now. The latest confession took place back in August and we are just now learning about it? One more black-eye for Aruba. The next step in this horrible case is for the U.S. Government to take action. They need to ban all travel and trade with the Aruba Government. I would even go as far as adding Aruba to the list of countries that currently make up the “Axis of Evil”. You can now think of Aruba and North Korea as 1 nation striving for evil, injustice, and enemies of world peace.

The Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs

It’s an historic event each year as the best breeders and horses line up for the Kentucky Derby. It’s been called the most exciting 2 minutes in sports and if you ever seen the Kentucky Derby before, you know why. This is a legendary race that takes place in the state of Kentucky each year. Kentucky is known for having the best horses in the world and this is the day they get to prove that. Horse owners from all over the country and in other countries too, always hope to get a chance to have their horse in the Kentucky Derby. This isn’t an easy event to see live and in person. USA Wins!

The Americans did something on Sunday night that no one thought they could do. They beat a much more talented team (by NHL standards) from Canada on their home ice in Vancouver. It was a great game to see and MSNBC did a beautiful job in covering the historic event to millions and millions of hockey fans that tuned in from North America last night. The game between Canada and the United States was “must see TV” for those that got a chance to see this great hockey match up.

There was a 30 minute pregame show on MSNBC to highlight this hockey match between the rivals from Canada and the United States. When you look at the Canadians line up from last night’s game, it was hard to imagine how the U.S. would keep up on the ice. They did more than keep up as they controlled the game from the start. Canada never did have the lead in the Olympic hockey match that was featured on MSNBC in the States last night. They did come from behind 2 different times to tie the score, but the young American hockey players always had a answer for Canada’s attempts on a comeback. It was a game that the USA would win 5 to 3 over Canada.

It was an electric atmosphere in Vancouver as 20,000 fans (mostly Canadian) filled up the arena in Western Canada. Big TV screens and monitors were placed outside of the arena and lots of fans packed the local bars and taverns in the Vancouver area to watch this big hockey game. The Canadian Government decided to stop liquor sells at 10PM on Sunday, so they could have a little more control with the huge crowds in Vancouver. This was expected to be a huge celebration in Canada, after their stars rolled over the USA team. That never did happen and the USA men’s hockey team would leave the millions in Canada stunned. Hockey isn’t a sport the Americans are known for and it’s much more popular in Canada. It’s hard to determine where this historic win will fall in Olympic history with the Americans, but it’s right up there with the 1980 win over the Russian hockey team in Lake Placid, New York. That was the “Miracle on Ice” and it looks like our hockey team has created a 2nd version of the Miracle on Ice.

The hockey tournament in Vancouver is far from over. There’s a good chance the Americans will have to face Russia now and perhaps the Canadian team will have a 2nd chance to redeem their self with the loss to the Americans last night. Expect things to really heat up now as the USA hockey team now has a horse in the race.

It’s nice to see guys from the NHL (National Hockey League) playing at a competitive level. We don’t get that level of competition from the annual NHL All Star Game and it’s so much better to see these guys playing with real determination. It’s a competitive field and the USA team looks prepared to go the distance with the boys from Canada and the talented team from Russia. Who will win gold for men’s hockey in Vancouver?

The camel is an amazing animal. One that needs very little water to travel great distances across some of the most baron deserts on the planet. There are 4 major types of deserts located on Earth. We typically think of a desert as being a place that is very hot with very little rain each year. This is known as the hot and dry desert and it’s only one of the types of deserts in the world. The other 3 deserts are referred to as the semiarid desert, the coastal desert, and the cold desert. During the nights a desert can become very cold. The warm air quickly escapes from the daytime heating of the desert after the sun has went down. You may notice this in a lot of western movies that come on TV; where the people in them will be wearing long sleeve shirts. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to wear these long sleeve shirts in a desert that is hot and dry, but at night time you need a long sleeve shirt to stay warm.

The camel has the unique ability to store large amounts of water. You can probably guess where that water is stored at on the camel. If you’re thinking the hump, that’s located on the back of camels, then you would be correct. A camel can have 1 or 2 humps on their back and they work well for storing water. A camel is much more equipped for the desert-life, than a human being is for life on the open deserts of the world.

I have never been to a desert before. I think it would be a great experience and something I would remember for a long time. I hope to get a chance one day to visit the deserts in Arizona and Southern California. We don’t see camels in the South Western part of the United States and I’m not sure why. Perhaps it’s because these are newer deserts and not the typical climates most camels are made for like the deserts that are located in Africa and the Middle East. A camel is a tall animal and work great with humans. A good animal to assist humans in traveling across the deserts. A camel doesn’t move like a horse in terms of speed, but people living in deserts use camels much like we would use a donkey here in the United States. The camel is a popular trademark for a cigarette brand and others have used the camel to promote their products. It’s a lovable animal and especially for those that need the camel to survive life in the deserts.

The local yellowpages is the way most people find information about their cities. This information is not easy to update, if it’s in a phone book you’re viewing the yellow pages. The information online updates frequently and not yearly like the phonebooks do. People that use their computers to find local information, will get the latest information available. Most people are aware of the older businesses in their neighborhoods and it’s the newer ones they search for information on. That’s why the yellowpages online is much better than a book that gets updated yearly.

Have you ever watched a movie on your computer before? I have watched a couple of movies from my desktop computer. I have a 19 inch monitor, so it’s like a small television and isn’t that bad to watch a good movie on. I know some people watch movies with much small monitors and I don’t see how they do it. I need a big screen for me to really get into a movie.

The movies I have seen were movies that were on DVD and I used the DVD player on my computer tower to watch it. I believe some websites out there allow people to watch free movies anytime they want. I would like to find some of these websites, but I don’t think I have enough computer memory to download the movies to my computer. I need a website that allows people to watch the movies from their site and you don’t have to download anything. I know there is websites you can download free movies at, but this really doesn’t help me out any.

Most of the new computers have towers with them that have a DVD player for watching movies. My friends will watch the dvd movies on their computers a lot. I usually prefer to use the DVD player for my TV to watch these types of movies. For those that know how to download movies online, they can have a huge library of movies to choose from. It usually doesn’t take long for the movies at the theater to appear online, so movie lovers can download the new movies and watch them on their computer screens. I will probably need to get a new computer before I can ever download movies from the World Wide Web, but this is something I would like to be able to do someday. I do enjoy a wide range of movies and I probably watch about 7 or 8 movies per week, from my TV that has a satellite connection. Do you ever use your computer to download or watch movies online?

In my state of Georgia we have been having a pretty cold winter this year. That got me to thinking about the honeybees in my area. I use to own and raise honey bees and I know they have to do a good job in the fall, so they can survive the winters. Normally our winters in North Georgia isn’t that bad. It’s been different this year and we are actually seeing snow this year. We went through one period already when temperatures stayed below freezing for 15 straight days. That is very unusual for us and I wonder how the honeybees did during this cold spell. We have had 2 snow storms that has left the ground white and the snow stuck around for a couple of days. They are now forecasting snow for Valentines Day night and we still have a little snow left from Friday’s snow event.

All of these cold temperatures and snow hanging around for days is probably going to diminish a lot of the honey bee population in Georgia. I would imagine most hives will have enough honey and food to survive, but they are probably losing a lot more worker bees than normal. When the weather does warm back up, I don’t know if there will be enough worker bees left to bring in the first food of the spring season. The hives that do survive the winter this year, may live long enough to just die in early spring. It should be interesting to see how many honey bees take flight in the Georgia skies this spring.

Do you remember your combination to your School Locker? If you are still in high school or graduated recently; then you may remember your old locker combination and perhaps you still have the combination lock too. It’s been a long time since my high school days, but I didn’t use my locker much. I didn’t have enough time in between classes to unlock a lock, get my things out, and get to my next class in time. I would carry all of my books in large bag and sometimes I would put 1 or 2 books in my school Locker. If you use a locker and don’t put a combination lock on it, then you do run the risk of having items to go missing from your lockers at school.

Students these days are carrying some pretty valuable things to school and it’s a must for them to use their regular lockers or the Gym Lockers. The high tech items like cell phones, laptop computers, blackberries, or a digital calculator is something a student would want to put in a secured location. Most of the time this would be their metal or Wood Lockers that are assigned to them each year at school. Normally these lockers don’t have any security protection. If a student wants a secured locker, it’s up to them to buy a lock with a key or the more common combination locks. It’s hard to keep up with a key and the combination locks can be tricky to open at times. There was always one student around that was good at opening the combination locks and they would have to teach others how to turn the dial on these locks. I don’t miss these days of trying to keep my things locked up at school, but you were just asking for it if you didn’t lock up your stuff.

They are some kids and mostly at the middle and high school levels that are looking to steal another student’s things. It’s an early lesson for the younger generation at how they have to protect what they own. I would like to see the locker companies come up with a better security system, for their premade lockers they send out to the schools. I think schools would buy a more modern design in lockers with security being the focus. A lot of schools would have Lockers for sale, if a more secured locker was invented, because they would want to replace their existing lockers with the more secured ones. A locker that had a digital keypad on it and students could use a 4 digit code to access their lockers, would be much better than the locker systems that are in place now. It might be a bit more expensive for the schools to upgrade their lockers, but it doesn’t take too many cell phones and laptops to get stolen, to make up for the higher costs.

It seems to get harder each day to find good music online. Music that you can get for free. I know a lot of websites try to block free music and most of us have seen the changes that YouTube has done over the years. You use to be able to find any song and the artist that sung it over at You Tube. Then people like Metallica and Prince didn’t like to see people getting their music for free, so they started to taking actions to block it. I think it was the Metallica .vs.  Napster case in court that got the ball rolling for these music artists to have more power over their music rights.

I think the artists need to grow up and understand technology is helping us to make our lives easier. Being able to get free music online is a part of that modern technology and it’s not the online website’s fault. The social networking giants like MySpace and YouTube is a blessing for most of us to find good entertainment online. They are creations that need to continue to develop and evolve as we go forward. I don’t think placing bans and restrictions on these websites is the way to go.

Just think about the guy that came out with the blank cassette or bland CD that can record a song from the radio or another cassette or CD. This is a cheap way to get music for us that can’t afford to pay the asking prices in stores. This guy needs to be praised for his invention and it’s up to the artists to find new ways in which people buy their music. Trying to stop new technologies is not the way to go. I know the entertainers and music artists will disagree with me and the main reason why is this is taking money out of their pockets. If they could just put their self on the other side of the fence, they could see how modern technology is helping the people that isn’t rich. Our technology and laws can’t continue to be dictated by the rich people of this country. Their only desires is to get richer and they have no intentions or cares about the rest of us that are not on their income level. I want to see free music online and I want it to be good music. This doesn’t have to stop with music and we can go into other avenues of entertainment like the movie industry for instance. Let’s make things better for everyone and not just for the rich folks. We all need to have equal rights in this country and letting technology lead the way is the best move we can do!

Remember when it seemed like a calculator would solve all of our math problems? Our teachers in school kept telling us we would need our math skills later in life and we just figured a cheap calculator would do the trick. As we got older, we learned that the calculator could only go so far and that math is a lot more bigger than we ever imagined. The basic math skills we got taught in our early years was just the foundation for what was about to come. Learning the basics is the most important part, because without that solid foundation to build on, we will be severely limited in our math skills as an adult.
