The North Carolina Tar Heels are probably going to be a number 1 seed in the NCAA tournaments, but they won’t be playing for an ACC Championship in Atlanta. The Florida State Seminoles upset them on Saturday and knocked them out of the ACC Tournament. It was a great win for Florida State and no one gave this team a chance to beat the Tar Heels on Saturday. They only won by 3 points in Atlanta, but still manage to send North Carolina home, so they can start preparing for the NCAA tournament that will start up next week.

Things won’t get much easier for Florida State on Sunday and they will be matched against the other tough team that wears blue in the Atlantic Coastal Conference. You know Duke had to be rooting for Florida State on Saturday to win, but now they have a hungry Florida State team they will have to contend with on Sunday afternoon in Atlanta. The game is set for a 1 PM Eastern Time tipoff and I look forward to seeing these two teams battle it out for the ACC champs of 2009. Don’t count Florida State out of this game. They have a lot of size and heart with this team and it’s not going to surprise me if they end up beating Duke and winning the ACC tournament on Sunday in Atlanta, Georgia. Should be a fun game to watch and this game should be a close one from start to finish on Sunday.
