It seems these days I just prefer to do my shopping online. It’s so much easier and saves me trips to the store. The way gas prices keep going up, you’re better off if you stay at home. Most of the everyday items you would go to the store to buy, can be found online too. In some cases, you may not be able to wait for the items to get shipped to you, but for the ones you can, look for them online first.

I have twin 5 year old nephews and was browsing the Net trying to find them some toys online. While searching for toys, I saw several clothing items that I thought they would like. Some of these items had their favorite cartoon character on them or it was related to police and firemen. Anything that is associated with the police or fire fighters, is something they both would love. Over at Lou Lou’s Corner I found some kids clothes that had name brand labels like appaman and jellycat. It’s a good place to go for parents that are looking for name brand items for their children.

I think shopping online for the little ones is a great idea. It’s a good way to let them see things and you don’t have to worry about them picking items up and breaking them. The next time you have a little free time, gather the kids around the computer and look at toys and clothes together. See which items they like or what gets their attention the most. They may not understand the prices or a name brand product like barefoot dreams, but it does give you some ideas on what to buy them for Christmas or on birthdays. Enjoy these early years, because you really don’t have to spend much money to make them happy. Now my other two nephews are 17 and 15 years old and it does cost a pretty penny to make them happy with new toys or new clothes.

People everyday come to their computers searching for a local business or local information in their area. It can sometimes be hard to locate this information on the World Wide Web. Local.com has made it much easier for people to find that information in their local cities or hometowns they live in. I saw a lot of good information for my local area in North Georgia. I like to search for the local restaurants in my area. See which places are new or if there is any good restaurant reviews on certain places. I have seen restaurants online that I didn’t even know was in my area. I think others would be surprise to see some restaurants in their area too, they didn’t know was in their hometowns either.

The local yellowpages is the way most people find information about their cities. This information is not easy to update, if it’s in a phone book you’re viewing the yellow pages. The information online updates frequently and not yearly like the phonebooks do. People that use their computers to find local information, will get the latest information available. Most people are aware of the older businesses in their neighborhoods and it’s the newer ones they search for information on. That’s why the yellowpages online is much better than a book that gets updated yearly.

If you like to watch sports on television then you’re not alone. The retailers did pretty good this year and I’m sure Wall Street is happy with some of the numbers coming out. It is a lot faster and we don’t have to waste gas driving to the mall or worry about finding a good parking place. Have you seen the mark shurtleff campaign? Mark Shurtleff is a man running for a seat on the United States Senate. After I have just wrote a blog post on the homeless people in America (previous blog post); I wonder what his take would be on the homeless population that currently makes up a percentage of our country’s population? He is against abortion; unless it pertains to an extreme case like rape, incest, or an health issue for the mother. He is also in favor of traditional marriages and wants to defend the rights of the churches.
