Your web site can include programs to help you communicate and send newsletters. You can invite old customers to participate in surveys, and have a general message area where they can communicate and help other customers solve their problems.Take your mailing list and send a letter to all past customers informing them of your new web site, and perhaps a free gift just for visiting. This will help migrate them to your web site, and help you to save money on mailing offers. Make sure to include your new URL on all your business cards UK designed online, stationary, products and anything else that leaves your office. With so many marketing channels available you want still want to maintain a focus on just a few so that you do not confuse your customers but give them a choice of how they can buy and contact you.

On your new business cards you will want to have a catchy logo. With the options to make business cards using tools to help create your image you will not only save time, but money. Creating a logo is a good start for any small company or business that is looking to get maximum exposure to their products or services. Just adding your own logo design to a business card and writing down other important information like address, telephone or cell numbers, email address, websites and any other important information that you would like to add. I chose just to create a descriptive message with my business card and just letting people know that blogs can drive traffic to their websites and this will also create better search engine rankings.

The Japanese might be ahead of all the other countries when it comes to the technology of robots. Japan is trying to create robots that will help replace an aging work force in their country. There are so many applications in everyday life where robots and the use of the latest video conference technology can make this interaction more personal. They already have robots in Japan that can make sushi and plant rice. I recently saw a report on hospitals that are using robots in patient treatment scenarios where the patient may be hours from the medical center. Dr.’s can use this technology and along with high end video conference screens that are on the robot and at their office they can do follow ups with patients cutting down on travel and sometimes wait times. This was highlighted when a cardiologist had to do a follow up with a patient that was 8 hours from the hospital. They had a robot with a high end video conference screen as the monitor and along with a local nurse this cardiology group was able to visit with patients and see exactly what was going on. They could control the movements and the views from their office with a mouse and joystick. This type of solution helps to make medicine more widely available to those who are not located near a major medical center.

Robots already have jobs on assembly line, they can spoon feed the elderly and don’t be surprised if you see a robot vacuuming your hotel room the next time your in New York. I think robot technology is fascinating and would love to see more of it in the U.S. I’m sure the field will be growing globally over the next century and it looks like Japan will be leading the way. This will create jobs in a high-tech industry working with robots. So for anybody in college now trying to find a good paying field to go into, be sure to check and see what types of training exist for this advancing field. Let’s just hope our society doesn’t become too dependent on them and when they breakdown, there will be a live person there to step-in and complete the task the robot was assigned to do. I know a few science fiction movies take this scenario overboard and actually have the robots turning on man. It would be a great tool for the police to use in situations where an armed individual is a threat to society and the robot could be used as a weapon for those type of people. I know bomb squads already have robots in place to help them take care of mysterious packages or items that might have a bomb in them. So the future looks bright for robots and it looks like this technology will be giving us a map to the future and all the ways we can use robots in our daily lives.

Guest post written by Chelsea Mirek

My daughter is just starting high school now and she’s really starting to get interested in fashion. I’m pretty interested in it too and am really glad that I have a willing shopping partner now! I’ve always been into shopping, but that also means finding some really good bargains. I’m basically an expert at thrift store shopping, which has really come in handy when you have a couple of growing kids.

I also frequent our local flea market and am always on the look out for other ones in the area that are worth checking out. I was online a few weeks ago trying to find a good new one and while I was looking I saw a Clear 4G Review. After I read through it a little bit I decided to change over our home internet service to one of the packages.

Some of our flea market finds that we’ve found together on just a few of our trips together so far include a really cute bookshelf for her room and some neat looking costume jewelry. My guess is that thsi stuff lasts longer than those necklaces she loves to get at Forever 21.

Guest post written by Bethany Eller

A few years ago I was thankful that my pre-teen daughter wanted to watch the Disney Channel instead of mature, age-inappropriate TV shows. Now I guess it still was better, it’s just that she owns 10 times her weight in Hannah Montana and Jonas Brothers merchandise.

But perhaps the biggest impact is that I have to take her to Jonas Brothers concerts, which isn’t an easy task to say the least. Tickets normally sell out as soon as they go on sale, so I make sure that I use my wildblue satellite connection to order them online because satellite internet compared to dial-up is so much faster.

I also always order any tour merchandise with my satellite internet portland online so that we won’t have to wait in long lines at the concert to buy at $50 T-shirt that will shrink as soon as we put it in the washing machine.

As far as the music goes, I guess it could be much, much worse. Besides, the venues they perform at have seats so at least I don’t have to stand at the back of the mosh pit and make sure that my daughter doesn’t break her arm or something like other moms I know with young teenagers.

There are a lot of great wireless printers you can find right now and here is a wireless canon printer for under $100. This is a great buy and one you can buy online. A lot of positive feedback for this specific printer model by Canon. I will be buying a wireless printer the next time I get a new printer. It will probably be one of the great Cannon Printers, because they have a good name in the printing world. A good product for a fair price, is exactly what consumers can expect to get, if they buy this All-in-1 Wireless Printer the Canon MX870 Model.

If you look around online a lot, you will see other great things to buy in this modern world of ours. For people who like to diet a lot, will want to get an exact reading on their weight each day or more often in some cases. I really like the Digital Bathroom Scales with the step-on technology included with it. A big display window that clearly shows a person their weight in pounds. These digital scales for weighing yourself are made by EatSmart Products. I currently see these digital scales for the bathroom costing about 30 bucks or maybe just a hair under this amount. It really isn’t that bad and they do last a lifetime it seems. Even with a lot of small kids jumping on them everyday, they seem to have a long lasting life span. Let’s just hope your diets will last as long as these EatSmart Digital Scales do!

Black & Decker Digital Planter

Welcome to the 21st century and the year 2011. Gardens and plants around the house this year, doesn’t have to be a guessing game. You can get real technology going on around your home, with this cool plant sensor. It can tell you a number of things about the soil around your home and give you suggestions on what types of flowers to plant or if you prefer to grow foods, it will list the fruits and vegetables that will do the best around your home. This Black and Decker Plant Sensor is a one-of-a-kind garden tool and nothing else compares to it right now. Its ability to read your soil and the amount of water and sun that is around is amazing. You just stick it in the ground and wait 24 hours and this cool plant sensor will have all the important data you need, to become a professional gardener around your home. There are other features on this sensor that can help with other things. If you have existing plants already, you can check to see if they are getting enough water right now. This Black & Decker Garden Tool is perfect for anyone who likes to get outside and plant a few things each year. They can use their trusty little plant sensor to help them make the best decisions according to where they live at in the World and the different types of things they will be planting. If I had one of these plant sensors, I would be more motivated to get outside and try my green thumb around the yard. I believe it will help others to be motivated, if anyone is on the fence right now, about planting or not planting a few things around the house this year.

Eyeglass and Jewelry Cleaner

Finally I would like to talk about glasses. So many of you wear glasses today. Maybe a few people are wearing them for fashion statements, but for those who have to wear them, you do want them clean, right? Well the modern way to clean eyeglasses is by using an automatic cleaner and not doing them by hand. You can check out one of the more popular brands of eye glass cleaners called the Sonic Wave CD-Ultrasonic Cleaner. This is a great item for perfectly cleaning your eyeglasses every time. You may also put your ear rings and other jewelry pieces inside, for a professional-looking jewelry clean too. This handy little cleaner works on jewelry and eye-glasses, so you can keep all your accessories looking bright, shinny, and super clean. I believe this is another modern product that separates today’s society from the generation of people we had living 10 to 12 years back.

I believe these are some good modern buys online right now, with dozens and dozens of new products on the design table as I speak now. Modern products should and will make our lives easier. Let’s just hope we find ways to remove the extra weight, as our life becomes too easy, and we start making those numbers go up on our new digital scales we just recently bought.

Contribution by Johnny Avila

Winter is here and so is everything that goes with it. My family and I started to get the house ready for the winter season early this year. We pulled out some high quality plastic to wrap our air conditioners and we sealed the windows with shrink wrap.

We checked the weather stripping and made repairs as needed. We want to keep the warm in and the cold out. I know that many of you are reading that and thinking to yourself: No duh! The truth is many people do not even think about winter until it comes. This sometimes leads to no time to plan.

Our family took action before the winter season hit and we are much happier for doing so. As I started to review our paperwork for tax season I realized that we saved around 15 to 22 percent on average from last year’s electric bill. Yes, we are saving money on our home Energysavings because we took some action. I think that is great! I also noticed that our heating bill went down and our home stays warmer.

My point is that anyone can do this. It is easy to shave the cost of living once you start to do simple things that are proven to cost you less. Life is not always about saving money, but it sure does feel good to see results.

Guest post written by Christine Duncan

The Millionaire Matchmaker is one of my favorite shows to watch. Not only is it about love, it’s in HD! I watch all my HD programming from my DirecTV deals and I always make sure to tune into this show. Matchmaker, Patti Stanger knows all the right things when it comes to helping lonely millionaires find love.

This season of Millionaire Matchmaker, Patti and her crew are moving from sunny LA to the mean streets of New York City. She comes to find that the millionaires are a bit more different and eccentric than those back at home. This doesn’t stop her from putting her all into finding the best matches for these memorable characters. For each episode Patti is presented two millionaires, male or female, that she must find love for. She also assesses why each millionaire is unsuccessful in love and tries to fix and change their flaws.

Watching this show in HD is great because I get to see all the different sights of New York in such clear detail. Central Park looks lush and beautiful while the concrete jungle looks intriguing and intimidating. It is also great to see all the people from the show in such intricate detail.

Unlike other reality shows that deal with ridiculous drama, The Millionaire Matchmaker truly focuses on what is the most important in love. Love is the most important because regardless how much money you have, your life feels empty without it.

Guest post written by Wendy Baker

I started a book club with a few of my really good friends over the summer and it’s been going so well! I did it as a way to see all of my friends more. It was like I never got to see them but we found a way to work it into everyone’s schedule and I think it’s going to keep on going for a long time. In addition to hosting it at different people’s houses every time, we’ll always have a little snack to eat too. So I suggested that for when we meet to discuss our holidays-themed book, I decided that each of us should bring our favorite Christmas cookies recipe, along with a copy of the recipe for each member.

Everyone really loved the Christmas cookie recipe swap idea once I sent an e-mail out to everyone about it. After I did that and was browsing some recipes online, I randomly found this website Cleartvbundle.com and after I read through it some, I decided to sign up for one of the home internet packages that I saw on it.

Well, I think that the whole Christmas cookies swap was a really big hit!

Content by Buford Sosa

Like so many families, Thanksgiving Day is a day of great tradition for our family. From the moment everyone arrives at Grandpa’s and Grandma’s house it’s as though there’s a script for everyone involved.

Adults all greet each other with hugs and happy chatter, and the children all run off with “the cousins” to play and become reacquainted once again. Grandma takes all the ladies on a tour showing off all that’s changed since last year, while the men all seem to disappear.

Eventually a steady hum sets in as the all the ladies don aprons to prepare the feast that is Thanksgiving dinner. The gentlemen, on the other hand, mill around a bit awkwardly admiring Grandpa’s latest handiwork outside or in the garage. The scene is punctuated by the laughter and raucousness of the kids somewhere in the background.

When Grandma finally announces dinner, we all gather round for the traditional turkey and trimmings. The trimmings always, but always, include mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, green beans, cranberry sauce and rolls and always in overly abundant proportions. A beautiful prayer of thanksgiving is offered and the feast begins.

The children are always first to disappear from the table, eager to resume their play; while the adults are a bit slower to finish with their eating intermingled with conversation. Eventually, though, all the leftovers are cleared from the table, the dishes washed and all congregate around the satellite television from http://www.direct.tv watching football in a nearly trance-like state of sleepiness.

Those who live furthest are among the first to leave amidst great protest from the children, and so it all end the way it began with hugs and promises to stay more in touch.

Thanks for the post, Lucius Gaines

“Say Yes To The Dress: Big Bliss Premiere 2010″ is a TV show that premiered on Friday, October 1st on the TLC. It involves women who are “big-boned” and their quest to find the perfect wedding dress. It’s a new reality show targeting plus sized women and the image issues they face when putting on bridal dresses; most of which are not tailored to their specific measurements. It’s scheduled to be a 6 piece series showcasing New York’s Kleinfield Bridal. The show will follow a number of plus sized brides to be as they search for that perfect wedding dress. I saw this on satellite TV from http://www.directstartv.com/directv_programming/directv_xm_satellite_radio.html and was instantly looked.

The 1st episode is aptly titled “Big Love.” Talk about comical. Anyway, it involves Amy – whose dress fitting gets off to a “hard to believe they didn’t do this on purpose” start when she accidentally tears the 1st wedding dress she tries on. I felt bad laughing, but that was hysterical. Later, a young lady desperate to be a bride decides to shop for a wedding gown even though she still hasn’t even received an engagement ring. I sat there (sarcastically) thinking, “yeah, that’s not going to scare off your boyfriend.”

Apparently, these plus sized ladies also have a plus sized ego to match their plus sized dress. I suppose they selected these women in order to let the audience feel alright about laughing at their snafus. It is most definitely an intriguing concept.
