Hiking Food

I know those people that like to do a lot of outdoor hiking or hiking on the weekends always pack a little food on their adventures. It is a good idea for people walking on trails or in an area they have never been before. It’s easy to get lost out in the woods and hikers can sometimes stay lost for days. I’m not sure I could make it outdoors for days with no food, but sometimes you may not have a choice in the matter. I think its the short adventures and small hiking trips that pose the most threat to a hiker. The small hikes usually won’t last long and some don’t feel the need to take any food with them. All hikers should keep this in mind the next time they try to take on a trail without no food with them. A little food and water is always a good idea, no matter how short the distance you plan to travel. I’m sure people that like to hike could read some pretty interesting stories from a mountain forum or message forum that was focused on hikers and those that like to go on backpacking trips. It may seem like a hassle to take along some trail mix or a pack of potato chips, but you will be thankful for it, if you do find your self lost in the great outdoors.
