The Big Game: Georgia .vs. Georgia Tech

This upcoming weekend is big in the state of Georgia. The college football fans of Georgia will get to see the Bulldogs from Athens, Georgia take on the Wramblin Wreck from Georgia Tech that is located in the heart of Atlanta. This is a rivalry game like no other and it should be an interesting match up this year. Many feel that ex-coach Chan Gailey lost his job at Georgia Tech because he couldn’t beat the Georgia Bulldogs. It will now be Paul Johnson’s chance to have a go at one of the top teams in college football this year.

Georgia will have a hard time stopping that option style of offense the Yellow Jackets run. A lot of other teams have had trouble with this offense and its just something you don’t normally see teams running on Saturdays. The Georgia Bulldogs have had 2 weeks to prepare for this unique offense and they better hope they do bettter than the Miami Hurricanes did on national television. The Yellow Jackets made the Hurricanes look bad on ESPN’s Thursday night game last week and this had to take a big negative hit on the recruiting efforts there in South Florida.

I expect this to be a high scoring game and both teams may reach the 30 point mark. If Georgia Tech doesn’t turn the ball over they are capable of winning this game. If they continue to leave the football on the ground, they may just have a nightmare trying to stop Knowshown Moreno and this lethal offense from Georgia. It’s certainly going to be a big day for the state of Georgia as they get to see two really good teams play against each other this year.
